Story Thru the Bible

DESCRIPTION: Walk Thru the Bible communicates the truth of God’s Word in a way that makes it
easily accessible to everyone. The group is a good option for folks new to faith, seasoned bible
lovers, if you aren’t sure about this whole bible thing, and everyone in between.

Abby and I took this class and loved how it broke down the stories in a way that allowed everyone to
interact and learn, We both grew in our faith and with lasting friendships from the class. If you sign up

DESCRIPTION: Is it reasonable to believe in God? Hasn’t science proven that everything has come into existence by natural processes? This sessions will connect faith in God and the facts of real world science, showing that they are not only compatible, but complementary.

Friday Night Bonfire

GROUP NAME: Friday Night Bonfire

CHILDCARE: You may bring your kids but there will not be a babysitter. Parents will be responsible for their own kiddos.
DESCRIPTION: This group will meet on Friday Nights at the Fester’s home. There will be soup, drinks and a bonfire! There is plenty of space for kids to play, but there will not be a babysitter and everyone will be responsible for their own kiddos. This will be a great time to connect with each other. All generations welcome! You may attend 1 night or all 6 nights!

It’s often the small, daily irritations experienced over a long period of time, and not dealt with in a healthy way, that have the power to strain a marriage and lead to estrangement. In the From Anger to Intimacy study guide and companion DVD, Dr. Gary Smalley and pastor Ted Cunningham invite you to go beyond the book and take a deeper look at the pain that lies at the heart of anger. In Walking with God in the Season of Motherhood, you’ll learn how to nourish your own heart, mind, and soul with the wisdom you need to become the mother you long to be.

Everything has a beginning. Every person, every idea, every journey starts somewhere. Whether it’s one small step in a new direction or a major event, from that point forward nothing is ever the same. It’s not always comfortable. It’s not always easy. But it’s a start. If you’re a new believer or someone with questions about Christianity, this group will provide the foundation for the Christian faith.

SewING

The group is intended to be part of our Outreach Program and will focus on making quilts and dresses for Honduras as well as items for our Heritage Home residents.  Group members are encouraged to bring their outreach projects to the groups to share with others.  You do NOT have to bring a sewing machine.  Linda will have 2 available should you want to sew during group meetings.  All sewers are welcome regardless of experience level.

What you can expect during meetings: patterns to review, discuss and choose; fabric to choose (Linda has yardage and pieces); samples for guidance; DVD helpful hints to watch; sewing tips of the week to take home; help from more experienced sewers; prayerful discussion.

Projects of focus: laptop quilts for Heritage Home residents; dresses for Honduras; pillows for pre-mature babies; quilts for Honduras (baby thru adult)
